*Dr Clare Bennett

Dr Clare Bennett
Clare Bennett is Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research funded scientist working at the Royal Free Hospital, London. She is also the recipient of one of our most prestigious career development awards; the Bennett Senior Fellowship. We are currently funding her to conduct a research project looking at the possibility of generating vaccinations for leukaemia patients. In a recent interview Clare talks about her latest research.

Dr Alice Norton
Alice Norton was awarded our Clinical Research Training Fellowship to study the genetic link between childhood leukaemia and Down syndrome. She is based at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, in Oxford, where she has been working with Dr Paresh Vyas on a Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research funded project that aims to directly influence the clinical management of leukaemia for children with Down syndrome, but will also impact on childhood cancer in general. As their project is nearing a close the pair discuss the outcomes of their work in a recent interview.

Dr Andrew Chantry
Dr Andrew Chantry is a Clinical Haematologist at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. He has received a Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Clinical Training Fellowship that will enable him to combine the remainder of his clinical training with new research into multiple myeloma and bone disease. In a recent interview, Dr Chantry discusses his exciting new research into new treatments for myeloma associated bone disease.

Ashley Mays
Ashley Mays is a Gordon Piller PhD student working under the supervision of Professor David Grimwade on the Guy’s Hospital campus of the combined King’s College / Guy’s / St Thomas medical school. Professor Grimwade is an expert on acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) who has been funded by Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research for a number of years. As well as leading his own research group he is co-ordinating the application of minimal residual disease testing for patients with AML entered into national clinical trials.
