Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research provides the following types of grants:
Project grants, which provide funding of up to three years, usually for the support of one person, to answer a single question or to develop new areas of research. Awards are granted by our Medical & Scientific Advisory Panel, which meet three times a year.
Specialist programme grants, which provide funding of up to five years for the support of a team to tackle more long-term goals. These awards are evaluated by a site visit to the host laboratory by a committee of expert assessors. Applicants must contact Scientific Director Dr David Grant (scientific@llresearch.org.uk) before any application can be considered.
Career development awards, which include Clinical Fellowships, Studentships, Visiting Fellowships and the Bennett Senior Fellowship. Read more about our career development awards
Clinical trial funding is available for innovative phase I/II or pilot phase III clinical trials for the treatment of leukaemia and the related blood cancers. The aim is to deliver trials which can unequivocally translate into further studies to evaluate clinical efficacy. Awards are considered by our Clinical Trials Advisory Panel, which meets twice a year.
