Haemato-Oncology Care in Practice

Hosted by The Royal Marsden School of Cancer Nursing and Rehabilitation
This 5-day module, which is part of the haemato-oncology nurses programme, will help students provide effective care for patient with haematological malignancies and their families. It emphasises both the theoretical and practical aspects of care and treatment of patients with haematological malignancies, and looks at roles in the multi-professional team. On completion of this module, students will be awarded 20 credits at diploma or degree level. This course is running again on Monday 21 June to Friday 25 June 2010.

Pyschosexual Issues in Palliative Care

Hosted by St Nicholas Hospice Care
This afternoon-only session looks at addressing sexual issues with patients when it may matter or be resolved during terminal illness. Focussed on health professional approaches to care and how soceity view’s and value’s sex and its impact on ill health. Speakers include Sarah Flowers, Triage Clinical Nurse Specialist.
